Ololade Abaye, known professionally as “Ladel”, is a Nigerian born Singer and songwriter who spent her formative years among music lovers that had great respect & appreciation for good music.
Being exposed and surrounded by a plethora of timeless music as a child, Lolade’s musical prowess was greatly influenced by these sounds that stuck with her from her childhood.
Born on the 26th of April, Ladel’s love for music took off right from the early age of eight (8) when she discovered her love for R’n’B, Pop, and Country Music.
Ladel’s passion for music and gift of song writing came to play when she found herself always singing pop and country songs to her siblings most nights before bed but stylishly changing the lyrics to suit her purpose.
Ololade was raised by her mum and dad along with her two (2) siblings.
Ololade’s story of life, love, and everything in-between, will be incomplete without her music.
Over the years, Ladel has learnt to use every situation as an opportunity to create outstanding music either in good or in critical times; forging through life with love in her heart and her melodies in her mouth.

Ladel’s music and choice of genre was greatly influenced by legends such as The Beatles, Louis Armstrong, Celine Dion, James Blunt, Tracy Chapman, and Don Williams.
Ladel’s years in the University didn’t separate her from her music rather she took advantage of the exposure to improve her music skills and master her craft all through her years as a student. After taking time to develop her abilities and extend the range of her talent, Ladel’s decision to pursue music professionally became official in 2020.
Ladel who initially just displays her work primarily on her social media is now putting together a body of work which is expected to drop around the 2nd quarter of 2023, nonetheless, the first single off the project is set to drop in January of 2023.
Ladel’s music is widely loved and accepted by all.
Along with her music, Ololade finds great joy in building constructions and designs and she has developed and managed several projects professionally along those lines.
Ladel believes life is made complete by utilizing the gifts you’re already given and not by wishing for the things you don’t have and she makes her message profoundly clear by her lifestyle and her music.
